Christian is the Director of Export Services with International Phytosanitary Managemnt and Standards Program. They establish policy and procedure related to phytosanitary certification. The ES unit addresses questions from field officials, provide clarifying information, and adjust guidance according to changes in international standards, technological advances, or industry practices. ES also oversees the maintenance, development, and enhancement of Phytosanitary Certificate Issuance & Tracking (PCIT) and Phytosanitary Export Database (PExD), and leads the ePhyto initiative for APHIS.
In addition, he is currently the chairperson of the IPPCs ePhyto Steering Group.
