The USDA’s Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) program developed the Regulatory Framework for Seed Health (ReFreSH) in collaboration with the seed industry, State and Federal officials, academia, and others. The ReFreSH project aims in a more effective and efficient program for managing plant health (phytosanitary) risk associated with international seed movements.
In this discussion panel, USDA APHIS representatives from Imports, Regulations and Manuals, Export Services, and Field Operations will engage in an open dialogue with industry members to explore strategies for the successful implementation of the ReFreSH program. By fostering collaboration and innovation, this initiative seeks to streamline the management of phytosanitary risks while safeguarding global plant health and facilitating the safe movement of seeds.
