Bob started his Federal career with PPQ in Port Newark, NJ in 2002 working in passenger, cargo, and international mail clearance. He was transferred into U.S. Customs & Border Protection in 2003 and was selected as the Agriculture Compliance Specialist for the port. In late August 2005 he returned to PPQ after accepting a field operations position as the Export Certification Specialist at the Seattle, Washington Plant Inspection Station. In 2007 Bob was selected for the Trade Specialist position for the pacific northwest covering export trade in Alaska, Washington, and Oregon. In July 2016 he accepted the National Operations Manager position responsible for export certification, trade, and accreditation programs throughout the U.S. The position is based in Ft. Collins, Colorado where he currently lives. Bob accepted his current position as Senior Regulatory Policy Specialist in the Plants for Planting work unit in January 2023. Bob is part of the seed health programs team within this work unit. He has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Hofstra University in New York and a degree in agronomy from the University of Maryland.
