Dan is the Senior Vice President for Distribution for the North American Strategic Business Unit of DLF North America. The distribution business includes the La Crosse Seed division based in the U.S. as well as distribution aspects of DLF’s operations in Canada. The North American business unit is one of four global business units of DLF Seeds A/S, a Denmark-headquartered global leader in the development of forage and turf seed varieties.

In addition to bringing forage and turf seed innovations to market, Dan and his team are leading and feeding the growing interest in cover cropping, soil health, water quality and other sustainability practices through educational tools, seed solutions and services to its distribution partners. Dan was most recently the CEO of La Crosse Seed, where he has worked since 2011 and assumed the SVP role in July of 2022. Prior to that he worked at Monsanto for 12 years with roles in sales, product management, licensing and finishing with marketing assignments in Colombia and Mexico. Fresh out of college, Dan worked with Becker-Underwood for five years and held several market development and sales roles during his time with them. Dan’s education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business from Iowa State University and an Masters in International Business from St. Louis University.

Dan is the 2nd Vice Chair for ASTA and was previously the Central Region Vice President and also the Sustainability Working Group Chair.

He resides in Wisconsin with his wife and three daughters. Outside of work, Dan enjoys cooking, exercising, reading, and traveling with his family.
