Orlando is the #1 convention destination in America, for good reason. From its beautiful convention venues, to its world-class theme park experiences, to the beautiful weather, to the huge variety of entertainment and dining options, the opportunities to come together with colleagues and customers is simply unparalleled. 

ASTA also warmly welcomes your family members to this new home for our December convention. We fully recognize that your trip to Orlando, at a perfect time of year for weather, may result in your bringing the whole gang. To that end, we have scheduled our convention to end on a Friday, rather than a Thursday, and we have assembled a few special events and resources to help you in your planning:

1. Discounted theme park tickets. We have a new custom ASTA theme park ticket page that was created for us through the Visit Orlando visitors bureau. These include ticket options that don’t exist for regular park visitors, i.e. specifically for the kind of timing that conventioneers would need such as “after 1pm” or “after 4pm” for lower price options.
    
2. Family Volunteer Event. In cooperation with "Give Kids the World," ASTA will host a volunteer charity event, at which families are welcome, to assemble gifts for terminally ill children. This will be held on Friday, December 8 at 11am (contact jcrouse@betterseed.org if you would like to sponsor this effort - the more sponsors we receive, the more people we can include in this meaningful experience!).
    
3. For companies entertaining customers: Orlando gives you so much more opportunity to host your clients than simply taking them out to dinner. Visit the Orlando Meetings & Events Venues page for a searchable directory of a variety of options to take your customers out in the evenings, for anything from race car driving, to the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal Studios, to Cirque du Soleil, to a private theme park reception and so much more! (NOTE: our host hotel is closest to the International Drive and Pointe Orlando part of Orlando, for purposes of search filtering.)
    
4. To be announced soon: - a special behind the scenes tour to a nearby theme park is currently being planned, also for Friday, December 8. 
    
5. Need babysitting services? Let us know! Orlando offers a special service just for conventioneers, offering fully licensed and bonded child care providers near the convention space, if you need care during the day.
