Greg Tylka earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in biology from California University of Pennsylvania and a Ph.D. degree in plant pathology from the University of Georgia. Tylka joined the faculty at Iowa State University in February 1990. His research and extension efforts focus almost exclusively on the biology and management of the soybean cyst nematode. Tylka also is the director of the Iowa Soybean Research Center at Iowa State.
