Alex Cochran joined Corteva in 2013 as global director of seed treatment research and development. He leads the company’s cross-functional R&D team focused on seed treatment and biological technology characterization through field development, formulation, registration, product stewardship and integrated solutions development.

Alex began his career in 2001 with Syngenta field development as a research scientist. He subsequently held many other roles within Syngenta, including serving as global development manager for seed treatment technology and global development manager for post-harvest specialty crop fungicides in the United States. In 2011, he assumed responsibility for the technical agronomy team serving U.S. specialty crop markets, providing customer technical support for seed, seed treatment and foliar crop protection products.

Alex earned M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in plant pathology from Purdue University.
