Claudius Marondedze holds a BSc Honours in Biochemistry attained from the University of Zimbabwe and a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. He specialized in functional genomics focusing on the development of fruit quality traits in apple.
Claudius has several years of international research experience in plant functional biology and seed physiology. In 2010, he joined King Abdullah University of Science and Technology as a postdoctoral fellow; 2015, he joined the University of Cambridge as a research fellow; 2017, he received a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship and joined the Laboratoire Physiologie Cellulaire et Végétale at Commissariat à l'Énergie Atomique et aux Énergies Alternatives (CEA) in Grenoble, France and in 2020, he was Researcher Seed Technology at Rijk Zwaan in the Netherlands.
Claudius joined Euroseeds in September 2021 as Technical Manager Plant Health and Seed Trade, where in addition, he is responsible for the Euroseeds Section Vegetables and Ornamentals.
