Jeff Haynes is the Commissioner of the U.S. Plant Variety Protection Office and has been with the program for over eleven years. He has been instrumental in streamlining the examination procedures of the office, launching the electronic Plant Variety Protection System, and implementing plant variety protection for asexually reproduced plants. Jeff has worked for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for more than 30 years. Prior to coming to the Plant Variety Protection Office, Jeff worked with the Pesticide Recordkeeping and Pesticide Data Programs.
