Chris Reardon has been Director of Government Affairs for the California Farm Bureau since November 2022. His responsibilities include managing a team of advocates that encompasses just about every aspect of California agriculture. Prior to this position, he was the Executive Vice President of the Pest Control Operators of California (PCOC). Reardon also served as Chief Deputy Director for the Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR). He was first appointed Chief Deputy in 2008 by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and then re-appointed by Governor Jerry Brown in 2012. Prior to this position, he was initially appointed by Governor Gray Davis in 2003 to serve as Director of Legislation and Regulations for DPR. Before joining DPR, Chris was Executive Director of the Manufacturer's Council of the Central Valley and he also spent time working in the Legislature as Chief of Staff for Assemblymember Sal Cannella and a legislative aide for Assemblymember Jim Costa. Chris is a native New Yorker who came to California in 1983 to serve in the United States Air Force at Castle AFB located in the Central Valley. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from California State University, Stanislaus. Chris is married to his wife Maria and has two grown children Samantha and Kelsey, who both reside in New York City.
