Aaron has a PhD in Cell Biology, and taught several college courses in Human Nutrition and Biology. He has experience in human clinical trials, led a product development group for nutritional supplements and worked as a regulatory affairs manager. For the past 12 years, he has worked in the leafy industry as a product development lead and global product manager; much of that experience has been in open field, and he just recently moved to CEA. His current focus is to work with seed companies and breeding programs to identify germplasm most adapted for CEA production across leafy crops, including lettuce, spinach, kale, arugula, mustards and herbs. The goal is to choose genetics that maximize agronomics and potential for automation, while also delivering a sustainable and nutritional product.
