Darrell A. Maddox (M.Sc. Plant Pathology, Colorado State University, 1985) recently retired from Endless Sky Partners, LLC. Endless Sky Partners, LLC (ELSP) specializes in seed health management, quality management systems, accreditation systems, project management and market development for agricultural businesses and organizations. Prior to his current position, Darrell was President of Eurofins STA Laboratories (formally STA Laboratories, Inc.) in Longmont, CO. Under his leadership; STA became recognized as a worldwide leader in vegetable seed health testing; expanded their seed quality and hybrid purity capacities; introduced molecular testing services and plant health diagnostics and opened a second testing facility in Gilroy, CA. Darrell began his seed career with the Asgrow Seed Co. (1984-1991).

Darrell has actively participated in industry groups and committees including chairperson of the American Seed Trade Association’s Phytosanitary Committee and The Board of Directors of the California Seed Association. In addition, Darrell helped charter and establish the National Seed Health System (NSHS) accreditation program, the Systems Approach to Nursery Certification (SANC) program, National Seed Health Accreditation Pilot Program (NSHAPP) and was instrumental in organizing the International Seed Health Initiative to standardized seed health techniques throughout the world.
