Selvin Carrillo is a Doctoral student in the Department of Horticulture at the University of Georgia. His research focuses on enhancing peach orchard management practices, including mineral nutrition, root phenotyping, irrigation scheduling, and rootstock-scion interactions. He has five years of full-time experience, including research in maize and soybeans, rural development, high-value horticulture, and abiotic stress. Outside the lab and orchard, Selvin enjoys playing soccer and pickleball – you’ll often find him on campus fields staying active and connecting with others.
