I am Dinesh Ghimire, a PhD Candidate at Cornell University, majoring in Plant Breeding and Genetics under the guidance of Dr. Kelly Robbins. My research focuses on integrating multi-omic approaches (phenomics, genomics, enviromics) along with crop physiology and advanced statistical models for crop improvement. The whole idea of contributing to global food security by development of tools and technologies that deliver improved varieties to farmers keeps me motivated and inspired. I am planning to pursue an internship/co-op in 2027 and anticipate graduating in Spring 2028. Outside of academics, I love to play soccer, cricket, and ping-pong, as well as explore new places, food and culture around the globe.
