This session introduces participants to the fundamentals of effective advocacy and provides practical tools for communicating with clarity, confidence, and purpose. Through remarks from state and federal leaders, attendees will gain insight into how policymakers receive, evaluate, and act on advocacy efforts, with a focus on what makes engagement from the seed industry effective and credible. A key component of the session is a hands on, interactive workshop that brings an Advocacy 101 approach to life, where participants will work through real world scenarios, practice communicating complex, science based issues, and build confidence in engaging with policymakers. This workshop is designed to give attendees practical skills they can immediately use to advocate more effectively for their organizations and elevate the voice of the seed industry.
