Since September 2023, Carlos Vanderloo is the Minister-Counsellor, Economic and Trade Policy, at Canada’s Embassy to the United States.
Prior to his assignment to the United States, Carlos occupied increasingly senior roles at Global Affairs Canada, dealing with trade and trade policy issues.
Overseas, Carlos has served at Canada’s Mission to the European Union in Brussels as well as Canada’s Mission to the World Trade Organization in Geneva. Carlos holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Guelph and a Master’s Degree from the University of Saskatchewan. Carlos is married with three children.
