Olanrewaju Edward Adeyemi is currently a Ph.D. student in Plant Science at Utah State University, with an anticipated graduation date in Fall 2026. His research focuses on weed management and sustainable agriculture, specifically investigating herbicide resistance in kochia (Bassia scoparia) within Utah's agricultural landscapes. Olanrewaju is dedicated to enhancing crop resilience and reducing pesticide dependence through innovative management strategies. He explores effective integrated management approaches by studying the seed biology, dormancy, and dispersal mechanisms of herbicide-resistant weeds. Additionally, Olanrewaju examines the role of cover crops, particularly clover in barley systems, in suppressing weed seedbanks and improving soil health.
Outside of academia, Olanrewaju enjoys spending time with friends and has a passion for soccer, both watching and playing.
