Harmeet's research focuses on soybean breeding with an emphasis of photosynthetic efficiency. He works on integrating physiological traits such as photosynthetic efficiency and canopy related traits to improve soybean yield potential and resilience to abiotic stresses (drought and flooding).
Beyond Research, Harmeet enjoys exploring new places, cultures and the outdoors. Growing up in a region where agriculture majorly shapes livelihoods, he was inspired to pursue a career in the seed industry to contribute to development of improved, environmentally resilient crop varieties. His passion lies in applying science to make crops more resource efficient, productive and sustainable for future generations.
