Jay Akridge is Purdue’s Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Diversity. His office is responsible for the University’s overall academic strategy; faculty-related matters; teaching and learning; student life, enrollment management, engagement, and diversity, inclusion, and belonging. He is also Professor of Agricultural Economics.

Prior to his current position, Jay served as Dean of Purdue’s College of Agriculture for nearly 10 years.

Jay earned his Master’s and Ph.D. in agricultural economics from Purdue University and his undergraduate degree from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky.
