Dr. Anthony Glenn joined USDA-ARS in 2001 as a Research Plant Pathologist, and in 2021 he became the Research Leader of his unit, the Toxicology & Mycotoxin Research Unit located within the U.S. National Poultry Research Center in Athens, GA. Dr. Glenn is also adjunct faculty in the Department of Plant Pathology at the University of Georgia in Athens, which is where he obtained his M.S. (1995) and Ph.D. (2001). As a Plant Pathologist, his research focuses on the genetics, physiology, and evolution of mycotoxin producing fungi, with a particular interest in adaptive traits associated with fungal fitness and interactions with host plants. He was made a Fellow of the Mycological Society of America in 2019.
