Dan Leibfried is the Director – Corn & Soybean Production Systems, a position he has held since March 2023. Leibfried is responsible for John Deere’s product and business strategies related to large tractors, tillage, sprayers and planter product families.
Working in John Deere’s Agriculture & Turf division, Leibfried brings 26 years of marketing, channel development, and technology development experience to the role. Most recently, he led John Deere technology business for Latin America.
Leibfried joined John Deere in 1997 focusing on utilizing information technologies to enhance the connections between the Company, John Deere’s dealer network, and the customers. He held a variety of roles in marketing and channel development in the United States, Australia and Germany. Additionally, he led embedded hardware and software product development as well as automation and autonomy systems for John Deere’s Intelligent Solutions Group.
Leibfried holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from The University of Iowa. Additionally, he has a master’s in agricultural economics from Purdue University and a master’s in business administration from Indiana University.
