Tom Schuler is the VP of Global Strategic Marketing for Seeds and Traits in BASF. Born in Southern Alberta and educated at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Tom is a certified plant breeder with a pioneering background in hybrid canola breeding and GM trait deregulation/commercialization. Global international experience in multiple crops (canola, corn, soy, cotton, rice and wheat) is key in his current role of guiding BASF in the continued expansion of seeds and traits offers to growers worldwide. Tom and Robbie are empty nesters with four kids building careers in various cities across Canada and the USA. Since 2003 they continue to operate a 660 acre grain farm on the Alberta/Saskatchewan border.
