This session will provide an interactive forum for those involved in seed production, to discuss the state of the industry, led by Jon Popp of Popp Engineering. This session requires an advance RSVP.
Topics include:
- Use of Defoliants to “schedule” harvest conditions
- Sizing – how many sizes are enough – corn, soybeans
- Blending – how mixed is enough
- Treating – safety versus effectiveness
- Packaging – what is the right size and how accurate should we be
- Automation – involving people and reducing risk
- Safety – being responsible and accountable
- Direct harvest of seed corn
