Virginia Moore is currently a NIFA Postdoctoral Fellow at North Carolina State University and a visiting scientist at the USDA-ARS Beltsville Agricultural Research Center (BARC) in Beltsville, MD. She manages a national cover crop breeding network and conducts breeding and agronomic research in cover crop interseeding systems. She completed her graduate work at the University of Wisconsin, with a master’s in Agroecology and Agricultural & Applied Economics and a PhD in Plant Breeding & Plant Genetics. In February she will join the faculty at Cornell University with a focus on breeding for sustainable cropping systems.
