Shane Meis is Wyffels Hybrids' Director of Research. He has over 20 years of seed industry experience and has worked in corn breeding and research throughout that tenure. He has been with Wyffels for more than 11 years and has led their research program for the past 9 years. Wyffels serves corn growers in the Central Corn Belt, and their research is focused on developing, commercializing, and characterizing hybrids that excel in this geography. Prior to joining Wyffels, Shane was a corn breeder for Monsanto for 9 years, which included roles focused on line development and commercial corn breeding. He received his B.S. & M.S. degrees in Agronomy & Plant Breeding from Kansas State University and a Ph.D. degree in Plant Breeding from Iowa State University.
