Davie Stephens, from Clinton, Ky., grows soybeans and corn on over 5,500 acres in western Kentucky and northwest Tennessee. He is past chairman of the American Soybean Association (ASA), which represents U.S. soybean farmers on domestic and international policy issues important to the soybean industry, and he is a current member of the Soy Aquaculture Alliance that advocates using US soy in domestic and export markets.
Davie earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky, and a master’s degree from Murray State University. He is married to Judy Byrd Stephens, who transitioned to the farm after a career with AT&T. Davie is a current Board Member of Mahali pa Maisha infant rescue center in Kenya.
