Sara has a BS in Ecology, an MS in Genetics and a PhD in Plant Breeding from Iowa State. She is proud to have been a corn breeder for Southwest Iowa, Southeast Nebraska and Northwest Missouri for ten years, and has recently been lucky enough to combine this breeding experience with her dual passions for farmers and conservation into a role developing sustainable cropping systems. Her research focuses on breeding and agronomic strategies for optimal production of row crops in relay-, inter-, and cover-cropping systems.
