Sonja Begemann serves as Editorial Director for Seed World Group. She has reported on seed, crop protection and general agronomic topics for nearly a decade in both industry- and farmer-facing publications.

Her interest in agriculture started at a young age on her grandparent’s northern Iowa multi-disciplined farm. However, crops and seed didn’t become a passion until her first job where she worked in seed sales and crop scouting for a large seed company. From there, she was hooked.

Within Seed World Group, Sonja works closely with the editorial team to achieve the editorial direction and execution needed to maintain each of the four seed publications’ reputations as the leading sources for information in the global seed industry. At the same time, she and team are working to expand the publications’ footprints in the digital world to meet readers where they’re at.
