Piran Cargeeg is the Inoculant R&D Lead for
BASF Agricultural Solutions Global Seed
Treatment business unit. Cargeeg has led the
R&D team responsible for many of the rhizobiacontaining
inoculants currently offered by BASF.
Cargeeg has 31 years of R&D product development experience with BASF and legacy companies. He has co-authored several granted microbial formulation patents,
whitepapers, and inoculants technology documents. Cargeeg has a bachelor’s degree in molecular/microbial biology from the University of Nottingham. He is currently based in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
