Ed Kaleikau (pronounced "Kuh-lay-cow") is involved in planning, development, organizing, and management of plant breeding, genetics and genomics-related research, extension, and education programs; work involves broad coordination responsibilities for related programs within NIFA, other agency programs, and national and international efforts. Ed holds a bachelor’s degree in biology/chemistry from Graceland College, a doctorate in plant genetics from Kansas State University, and completed NSF and NIH postdoctoral fellowships in plant molecular biology at Stanford University.
