Addie Thompson is an assistant professor in the Plant, Soil & Microbial Sciences Department at Michigan State University. Prior to her appointment in 2018, she was a postdoctoral researcher at Purdue University. She received her PhD in 2014 in plant breeding from the University of Minnesota, and BS in genetics from Iowa State University in 2008. Addie's areas of expertise include quantitative genetics and pre-breeding in maize, as well as phenotyping in maize and sorghum.
