Paul Carter is an independent agronomist after 26 years in various agronomy leadership roles at Pioneer (now within Corteva Agri Sciences). Before joining Pioneer, Paul began his professional career at the University of Wisconsin where for 11 years he was Professor and Extension Agronomist and developed research and extension educational programs on corn cropping systems. His agronomy research experience includes focus on seeding practices, crop rotations, tillage systems, precision farming, and impacts of frost and wind damage on crop recovery.

Paul is a Fellow in both the American Society of Agronomy and the Crop Science Society of America. He earned his B. S. degree at North Dakota State University and his M. S. and Ph. D. degrees from the University of Minnesota.
