CSA’s Annual Convention online sessions operate on either a Zoom webinar or Zoom meeting platform. All Zoom platforms have recently been enhanced with GCM data encryption. In our webinar platform, chat functions are disabled and participants are automatically muted and video disabled to prevent uninvited guests. In April 2020, Zoom added new security enhancements requiring a meeting password for entry to all events, removing the meeting ID from the header of each meeting (to prevent screen shots of meetings appearing on social media) and enabling the host to "allow" visitors into the meeting and "lock" the meeting once everyone has arrived. Further, CSA’s Annual Convention requires a registration and login to enter the event as an added layer of security.
