Lisa began her career in the Research Department of Agriculture and Agri‑Food Canada, starting in molecular biology laboratories. She transitioned into intellectual property management, public–private partnerships, and technology licensing, and spent more than 10 years supporting researchers across a broad range of disciplines including climate science, plant breeding, molecular biology, food science, and taxonomy.

Lisa has spent the past 18 years in regulatory affairs at Monsanto/Bayer, in various roles based in Canada, Singapore and now St. Louis. She is currently in Global Seeds & Traits Regulatory Affairs, with a focus on regulatory strategies for genome‑edited products.

Throughout her career, Lisa has been actively involved in industry associations. She contributes to several American Seed Trade Association (ASTA) committees, including the International and PBI committees, and participates in the International Seed Federation (ISF) Market Access & Trade and Seed‑Related Innovation coordination groups.
