Jonathan has been involved in agriculture for most of his life; from humble beginnings picking green beans for a local farm market to improving many different crops all around the world. Jonathan has worked with Bayer for 30 years and is now leading a global team of scientists who are using cutting edge technologies to transform plant breeding into designing the seeds of the future.

Jonathan holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, and a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding from Iowa State University. Jonathan and his wife, Alison, live in the St. Louis area, have two boys: Evan and Connor, and a dog named Stanley. Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys hiking, camping, fishing and sailing.
