Jody Pollok-Newsom received her B.S. in agriculture and natural resources communications and masters in Ag and Extension Education from Michigan State University. She was worked for the USDA, the National FFA organization and the Michigan Department of Agriculture. Once entering the commodity world, Jody went to work for the cherry industry, the Michigan Corn Growers Association and Corn Marketing Program of Michigan and the Michigan Wheat Program as its first and only executive director. In addition, Jody spent 13 years hosting the weekly Michigan Farm and Garden television show. Jody, her husband Brett and their 9-year-old daughter Rachel live on the family farm with Jody’s dad in Williamston, Michigan.
