Peg Redinbaugh served as the Research Leader for the USDA, ARS Corn Soybean and Wheat Quality Research Unit through her retirement in 2017. She continues to serve as an Adjunct Professor in the Dept. Plant Pathology, Ohio State University where she provides leadership for an ongoing project to characterize the epidemiology of maize lethal necrosis in sub-Saharan Africa. The goals of the project are to develop diagnostic tools for monitoring maize chlorotic mottle virus (MCMV) infestation of seed, to understand the distribution of MCMV on maize seed and to determine the rate of transmission of MCMV isolates through seed of U.S. and East African maize germplasm.
