Speakers
Description
This session, developed in partnership with the Tri-Societies, features the following presentations that take a fresh look at corn and soybean production:
-Managing Today’s More Efficient Corn Hybrids – Emerson Nafziger, University of Illinois (Retired): Along with their increased yield potential, today’s corn hybrids have greater capability to extract water and nutrients from the soil, thus making them more efficient. This presentation will focus on how this greater efficiency has changed how hybrids respond to management factors such as nitrogen and plant density.
-A Modern Look at Soybean Production - Greg Ury, BASF: Todays soybean potential has changes over the last several years. In this presentation we will focus on the critical factors that influence soybeans production to help put us in a position to succeed.
The session will be provided as a webinar as well to members of the Science Societies.
