Formed under the IPR Committee, the IPR Emerging Issues Working Group discusses ASTA’s positions on developing topics including the International Treaty, UPOV’s explanatory note on essentially derived varieties, PVP laws globally, use of molecular markers, and protection new plant breeding innovations. Outcomes from this Working Group meeting will be reported in the Wednesday, December 11 meeting of the Intellectual Property Rights Committee.
